Elsewhere Kevin Nolan scored his fifth goal in four matches as West Ham beat Southampton and Olivier Giroud scored twice as Arsenal roundly beat Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 28, as Southampton host Liverpool.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Sunderland and West Brom do not play during Gameweek 27.

Captain Choices

Daniel Sturridge (LIV)
Daniel Sturridge was on target for the seventh match in a row, as Champions League hopefuls Liverpool maintained their push at the top of the table.

Highlighted in last week’s fantasy football tips, Sturridge scored within two minutes at Anfield as Brendan Rodger’s side became the Premier League’s highest scorers.

The England international remains the most in-form player in the division, with nine goals, four assists and 16 bonus points in just seven games.

Opponents Southampton have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight matches on the south coast and Liverpool’s burgeoning striker should continue his impressive goalscoring run for the Reds this weekend.

Emmanuel Adebayor (TOT)
Emmanuel Adebayor was unable to prevent Tottenham slipping to their seventh defeat of the season, as Norwich secured a 1-0 victory at Carrow Road.

The Togan striker has found favour and form since the turn of the year; scoring six goals in the league, but a lack of goals at White Hart Lane may be overcome against one of the division’s poorest sides.

Opponents Cardiff were hit for four goals last time out and any hope Tottenham have of salvaging a top-four finish this season could hinge on Adebayor returning to the scoresheet.

Transfer Tips

Wilfried Bony (SWA) – £7.2m
Wilfried Bony continued his good run of form for Swansea by scoring twice in Sunday’s 4-3 defeat at Anfield.

The Ivory Coast international has now scored nine goals in his last 11 matches in all competitions, but a trip to Naples in the Europa League on Thursday may cost the striker some valuable fitness ahead of the latest round of fixtures in the Premiership.

Opponents Crystal Palace have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last four games in the Premier League and the Swans in-form striker could hamper the Eagles flight away from the relegation zone this weekend.

Jake Livermore (HUL) – £4.7m
Jake Livermore’s powerful shot capped an emphatic 4-0 win for Hull last weekend, as the Tigers moved to within a point of the top half of the table.

Livermore has been an ever-present for Steve Bruce this season, missing just two games and the on-loan midfielder’s third goal of the season suggests there could more in the offing before the current campaign comes to an end.

Opponents Newcastle have conceded 10 goals in their last four games in the Premier League and the hosts will be in buoyant mood ahead of the match at the KC Stadium this weekend.
